A new ISRM Suggested Method for Determining the Basic Friction Angle of Planar Rock Surfaces by Means of Tilt Tests has been published by the ISRM Commission on Testing Methods. The new Suggested Method is available at the Rock Mechanics and Rock Engineering journal (link below) and at the ISRM website, under Products and Publications | Suggested Methods (free download for ISRM members).
